Ahead of Adipurush's release on June 16, the makers conducted a grand promotional event on Tuesday in Tirupati. Speaking at the event, actor Prabhas who essays the role of Rama in the film based on the Hindu mythology Ramayana, said, "I am lucky to do the film."

The actor also said that veteran actor Chiranjeevi appreciated him for talking up the film, "Chiranjeevi Garu asked if I was doing Ramayanam. He said it is luck, and since the beginning, there have been hurdles and problems. Om Raut fought hard for this film. Rajesh and Prasad also. Bhushan took this film as more than just a film. He took it very seriously and worked hard for this film",

The actor also heaps praise on his co-stars, "Lakshman is an important character, and Sunny, there is no Ramayan without you. Janaki...Kriti Sanon's expressions are amazing. People immediately accepted her as Sita. Dev is a big actor in Marathi. Working with him gave me a new emotion. I thought he was Lord Hanuman."

The actor concluded by thanking his fans and saying he would work more rather than giving words, "I am working on two films every year. I can't talk more than this. Three can come in a year. Will talk less and work more. Adipurush is luck to me."

Directed by Om Raut, the film has Prabhas as Ram, Kriti Sanon as Sita, and Saif Ali Khan as Raavan. Though originally a Hindi language film, Adipurush, which tells the epic saga of Ramayana, will be released in all major South Indian languages. Adipurush is produced by Bhushan Kumar and Krishan Kumar of T-Series with Om Raut's home production Retrophiles. While Karthik Palani is the cinematographer, the edit is done by Apurva Motiwale, Sahai, and Ashish Mhatre.
