

Kushi, an upcoming romantic drama starring Samantha and Vijay Devarakonda, has wrapped its principal production on Saturday. The film's post production is in full swing at the moment, as it gears itself for a September 1 release.
The film is written and directed by Shiva Nirvana and is the director’s first collaboration with Vijay and his second with Samantha, having earlier worked with the actress in Majili (2019). Kushi also stars Jayaram, Murali Sharma, Sachin Khedekar, Ali, Rohini, Lakshmi, Vennela Kishore, Rahul Ramakrishna, Srikanth Iyengar and Saranya Pradeep.
It has music composed by Hridayam-fame composer Hesham Abdul Wahab, who will be making his Telugu debut with the film. The makers have so far released two singles from the film, namely, Naa Roja Nuvve and Aaradhya. Kushi is produced by Naveen Yerneni and Y Ravi Shankar under the banner Mythri Movie Makers. The technical team consists of cinematographer Murali G, with editing by Prawin Pudi and production design by Jayashree Lakshminarayan.
It may be noted that Samantha has also recently finished shooting for the Indian version of Citadel, her upcoming web series helmed by Raj and DK. Samantha, who is suffering from Myositis, an autoimmune condition, has recently announced that she will be taking an year long break to focus on her health after finishing work on her current projects, namely Kushi and Citadel.
