RC 16, the much awaited collaboration between Ram Charan Tej and Buchi Babu Sana, is reportedly set to have music composed by AR Rahman.
Mythri Movie Makers, the banner behind this film, is expected to make a massive announcement about one of their projects on Sunday and many are speculating that the entry of AR Rahman in RC 16 might just be that announcement. If the speculations do turn out to be true, then RC 16 will be AR Rahman's straight Telugu film after the 2009 Pawan Kalyan starrer Panjaa.
RC 16 is Buchi Babu Sana's second film after his 2021 romantic drama film Uppena. Uppena, starring the then-debutants Panja Vaisshnav Tej and Krithi Shetty is a love story between a working class Christian man and an upper middle class Hindu woman. The film was produced by Buchi Babu's mentor Sukumar, in association with Mythri Movie Makers.
RC 16 is produced by Sukumar as well, in association with Vriddhi Cinemas. Ram Charan will start working in RC 16, once he finishes working in the Shankar directorial Gamechanger, previously known as RC 15. RC 16 is reportedly said to be a sports drama with a disabled protagonist.
