Samantha Ruth Prabhu, who is currently shooting for the romantic drama Kushi and the Prime Video web series Citadel will be taking an year-long break after finishing work on both of these projects to focus on her health.
The actor was diagnosed with an autoimmune condition called myositis a year ago. She has also rescinded from the projects she has committed earlier to, returning advances to producers.
The sabbatical was made official in an announcement that read, "Samantha is going to take 1 Year Break. She is currently shooting Kushi with Vijay Deverakonda. The film is in its final shooting schedule, which will be completed in next three days. She is nearly finished with the Citadel web series also. She will be free of her commitments after Kushi and Citadel. She is planning to take a long break from work. She will not sign any new Telugu or Bollywood films. She will use this time to regain her health and seek additional treatment. She returned advance payments to producers she had previously taken."
