Golden Globes 2023: Chiranjeevi, Nagarjuna, Jayam Ravi and others congratulate MM Keeravani, team RRR for Naatu Naatu

In what can be called a big feat of achievement for Indian cinema, most of us woke up on Wednesday to the news of RRR’s Naatu Naatu winning Best Original Song- Motion Picture at the Golden Globes. Composed by MM Keeravani, the song beat other nominees such as Taylor Swift’s Carolina from Where the Crawdads Sing, Ciao Papa from Pinocchio, Lady Gaga’s Hold My Hand from Top Gun: Maverick and Rihanna's Lift Me Up from Black Panther: Wakanda Forever.

As congratulations are in order, many from the film fraternity celebrated and greeted Keeravani, SS Rajamouli, and the entire RRR team for their win. Taking to Twitter, top stars including Chiranjeevi, Nagarjuna, Shankar Mahadevan, and Jayam Ravi among others, conveyed their wishes. 

Chiranjeevi tweeted, “What a Phenomenal, Historic  Achievement !!!! Golden Globes Best Original Song - Motion Picture Award to MM Keeravani garu!! Take a Bow! Heartiest Congratulations Team RRR & SS Rajamouli !!  India is proud of you!” (sic)

Nagarjuna also congratulated the team and conveyed that they are on the way to winning the Oscar next. Ajay Devgn, who was a part of the film, congratulated the team for bringing home the Golden Globe award. In addition to praising the team, singer Shankar Mahadevan also added that he was very proud of SS Rajamouli.  From the Tamil industry, actor Jayam Ravi and music composer Santosh Narayanan conveyed their compliments to the team and Keeravani. 

Naatu Naatu has lyrics penned by Chandrabose, while Rahul Sipligunj and Kaala Bhairavaa lent their voices. Prem Rakshith choreographed the song, which won appreciation for its electrifying beats and dance moves across the world.
