Saindhav clears censorship formalities

The makers of Saindhav announced on Saturday that they have gotten a U/A certificate from the Censor board. Saindhav, scheduled to release on January 13, stars Venkatesh Daggubati in the lead role, with Baby Sara Palekar, Shraddha Srinath, Andrea Jeremiah, Arya, Jayaprakash and Jisshu Sengupta in supporting roles. Nawazuddin Siddiqui is the film's principal antagonist. Saindhav marks his Telugu debut. 

The film is written and directed by optometrist-turned-filmmaker Dr Sailesh Kolanu. It is his third film after HIT and HIT 2. Saindhav, however, does not form a part of the HIT franchise. Saindhav is an action entertainer set in the fictitious coastal city of Chandraprastha.

The film was shot in Hyderabad, Vizag and Sri Lanka. Saindhav is produced by Venkat Boyanapalli under the Niharika Entertainments banner, with Kishore Tallur serving as the co-producer. S Manikandan is the cinematographer of the film, with editing by Garry BH and production design by Avinash Kolla. The music of the film has been composed by Santhosh Narayanan.
