Niharika Konidela to star next in What The Fish

Niharika Konidela, who was last seen gracing the silver screen in a cameo four years ago, in 2019's Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy, will be making a comeback with What The Fish. The actor-producer will be seen in the lead role. The makers of the film announced on Monday while unveiling a character poster of the actor. Niharika will be playing a character titled Ashtalakshmi aka ASH. The first look poster features her in an ivory-coloured dress walking ahead, while a life-sized dollar sign rests in the background. The makers of the film promise a meaty, performance-oriented female protagonist in their film. The tagline of the film reads 'When the crazy becomes crazier.'

What The Fish is written and directed by newcomer Varun Korukonda. The makers have also declared in a press statement that the film will be mounted on a high-end budget with top-notch technical standards. They have also mentioned releasing the film across multiple languages. What The Fish is produced by Vishal Bezawada and Surya Bezawada of 6ix Cinemas. Varun is also the film's co-producer. Shaktikanth Karthick, who has notably composed music for Shekar Kammula's Fidaa (2017), is the music director of the film. 

Niharika was last seen in Dead Pixels, a Disney+Hotstar Original series. Dead Pixels, produced by BBC India and Tamada Media, is the official Telugu adaptation of an English series of the same name. The actor, who also runs a production house (Pink Elephant Pictures LLP) announced her banner's maiden feature film last month.
