The trailer of Skanda, Ram Pothineni's next film directed by Boyapati Sreenu, was unveiled on Saturday. The trailer was launched at the film's pre-release event, where Nandamuri Balakrishna, who worked with Boyapati Sreenu in Akhanda, Simha and Legend, graced the occasion as the chief guest.
Skanda, also titled as Skanda-The Attacker, is Ram's first collaboration with Boyapati Sreenu, who is known for his unique brand of hypermasculine, old-fashioned action entertainers with strong themes of family, saviourship and retribution. Skanda is scheduled to be released on September 15 in Telugu, Hindi, Tamil, Malayalam and Kannada.
The two-minute-long trailer is an exact reflection of the director's ethos and style, with Ram as well as other supporting characters in the film spouting hefty one-liners. The male lead is also shown beating men to pulp, with Thaman's background score on full blast. Sree Leela, the female lead of the film, appears for a few seconds.
