The announcement of Thammudu, director Venu Sriram's next with Nithiin was announced on Sunday with a muhurtham pooja. The film will mark the first-ever collaboration of this director-actor duo.
Venu Sriram has previously directed films like Oh My Friend, Middle Class Abbayi and more recently, the Pawan Kalyan-starrer Vakeel Saab. Nithiin is currently shooting for Vakkantham Vamsi's Extra, where he is starring alongside Sree Leela, and his upcoming film with his Bheeshma director Venky Kudumula. Thammudu is being produced by Dil Raju under the banner Sri Venkateshwara Creations. Thammudu is Nithiin's third collaboration with Dil Raju, after Dil and Srinivasa Kalyanam.
Director Anil Ravipudi, whose film Bhagavanth Kesari is hitting theatres for Dusshera, switched on the camera at the event, which had Varisu director Vamshi Paidipally directing the first ceremonial shot.
Satyajit Pandey alias Sethu, who has been the man behind the camera in films like Dangal, Kahaani and Taare Zameen Par, is the cinematographer of Thammudu. More details of the film's cast and crew will be announced soon by the makers.
