Karthik Dandu announces his next film 

Karthik Dandu, who has made the mystical thriller Virupaksha with Sai Dharam Tej and Samyuktha, is returning to the director chair with a film from the 'mythical thriller'. The announcement reads, "The Team of Virupaksha is back. Get ready to believe in the unbelievable, this time it is a mythical thriller. Directed by Karthik Dandu, produced by SVCC and Sukumar Writings. Pre-production works start today. Stay tuned for more details."

Divulging about his project in an interview with CE, Karthik Dandu says, "If I even give a little hint, it might turn out to be a spoiler. All I am going to say is that this film is based on a small myth from the Puranas. Nobody has tapped into that myth so far, at least in films. I want to take that myth and explore what can happen if it takes place in the real world"

Virupaksha was a commercially successful film, in addition to receiving positive reviews appreciating the film's writing, direction and technical aspects. B Ajaneesh Lokanath composed the music for the film, with cinematography by Shamdat and editing by Navin Nooli.
