As we are inching closer to Kushi’s release, Vijay Deverakonda, the film's male lead declared that the trailer will be releasing very soon. Instead of revealing the date, the actor went ahead and released the censor certificate of the trailer. The certificate comes with the quote that reads, "Locked and Censored. 2.41 minutes of the Kushi Trailer." Kushi trailer received the U certificate.
Kushi , also starring Samantha, is written and directed by Shiva Nirvana. Shiva has previously directed Ninnu Kori, Majili and Tuck Jagadish. Kushi is his first collaboration with Vijay and second with Samantha after Majili. Shiva Nirvana has also penned the lyrics of all of Kushi 's songs released to date, including Naa Roja Nuvve, Aaradhya and the Kushi title song. Hesham Abdul Wahab is the music composer of the film.
Kushi is produced by Mythri Movie Makers. The film also stars seasoned actors Sachin Khedekar, Jayaram, Ali, Rohini Molleti, Lakshmi, Murali Sharma, Vennela Kishore, Rahul Ramakrishna, Srikanth Iyengar and Saranya Pradeep in supporting roles.
The film has cinematography by Murali G, with editing by Prawin Pudi and production design by Jayashree Lakshminarayan. Kushi will be releasing in Tamil, Malayalam, Kannada and Hindi, in addition to its original release in Telugu.
