Director Bobby Kolli, who has recently directed the Chiranjeevi-starrer Waltair Veerayya will now be directing Rajinikanth’s next film. Producer Dil Raju, who has reportedly met the actor to discuss the project and give him an advance, will be producing the film under his banner Sree Venkateshwara Creations. This film, which is currently being written, will be Bobby’s debut in the Tamil film industry.
Dil Raju, who has been a leading producer in the Telugu film industry for the last twenty years, has made his foray into the Tamil industry by producing the Vijay starrer Varisu. Varisu was written and directed by Vamshi Paidipally. It may be noted that Dil Raju’s Varisu and Bobby Kolli’s Waltair Veerayya were released on the Sankranti weekend. Both films have emerged successful at the box office.
Rajinikanth is currently shooting for Jailer, which is written and directed by Nelson. In addition to Jailer, Rajinikanth is going to appear in a cameo in the Aishwarya Rajinikanth directorial Laal Salaam. The actor is also reportedly set to act in Jai Bhim-fame director TJ Gnanavel’s next.
