We had earlier reported that filmmaker Shankar will be teaming up with Ram Charan for a project, tentatively titled RC 15. It has been announced that actor SJ Suryah is on board for the upcoming Tamil-Telugu bilingual. The makers announced the news with a poster featuring the Spyder-actor in a suit.
The film, which features Kiara Advani as the female lead, also stars Anjali, Jayaram, Sunil, Srikanth and Naveen Chandra.
The shooting of the film, which went on floors in October last year, is currently in progress, with filmmaker Shankar parallel working on his long-delayed Indian 2, which was recently resumed after filming took a long break due to the pandemic and creative differences between the director and the makers. RC 15 marks the maiden straight Telugu film for the Enthiran and I filmmaker. The film reportedly has a political backdrop and will see Ram Charan essaying a dual role, that of a father and a son.
RC 15 is being produced by Raju and Sirish through Sri Venkateswara Creations, marking their 50th production venture. The film has music by Thaman S and cinematography by Tirru and R Rathnavelu, while KGF and Vikram fame action choreographer duo Anbariv are handling the stunt sequences.
Suryah who is having a great run at the box office with successful films like Maanaadu and Don, has a slew of major films coming up. His slate includes Vishal's Mark Antony and the Radha Mohan directorial, Bommai. He is also reportedly playing a prominent role in Vijay's next, Varisu.
