A still from Cartoons launch

Actor Arun Adith, who recently changed his name to Trigun, will next be seen in a buddy comedy titled Cartoons, with the tagline '90's kids bey eeda'. The film was launched on Monday with director Ram Gopal Varma attending the muhurat as the chief guest.

Sai Teja Sappanna, who earlier worked as a choreographer in a television reality show, is turning director with this film that also features Payal Radha Krishna, Deepak Saroj and Viva Harsha in prominent roles.

"The film deals with the theme of friendship and revolves around a gang of friends, who react to a situation when a close friend begins to ignore one of them. The story brings back the memories of the 90s kids and takes them on a nostalgic trip down the memory lane while providing wholesome entertainment," says Sai Teja.

Produced jointly by Srikanth Deepala and Sudheer Reddy Tumma, Cartoons will commence its principal photography on February 7 in Hyderabad. "We are planning to complete the entire production in 35 days and release the film in the second half of this year," adds Sai Teja.
