Pawan Kalyan's Kushi set for a re-release
The film was directed by SJ Suryah

After classics like Baba, Anbe Sivam re-released, Kushi, the 2001 Telugu romantic comedy, which starred Pawan Kalyan and Bhumika Chawla in the lead roles, is set to have a theatrical re-release on December 31, the makers announced on social media on Monday.

Kushi was the Telugu remake of hit Tamil film by the same name that featured Vijay and Jyotika. Kushi marked the sophomore directorial of filmmaker-actor SJ Suryah. The film follows the lives of two youngsters, who cross paths at very points of their lives unknowingly, and end up developing a love-hate relationship, when they join the same college.
Produced by AM Ratnam, the film was shot by PC Sreeram and music by Mani Sharma. The film was a commercial success, just like its Tamil version, and went on to become one of the classics. The film also starred Vijayakumar, Sudha, Nassar, among others.
