Dulquer Salmaan, Mrunal Thakur film Sita Ramam grosses Rs 50 crore worldwide

Sita Ramam, the romantic period drama starring Dulquer Salmaan and Mrunal Thakur, grossed Rs 50 crores at the box office worldwide, the makers announced on Tuesday. They also added that the film earned 1 million dollars at the USA box office. The film, which released on August 5, grossed 25 crores worldwide during its first weekend run.

Directed by Hanu Raghavapudi, Sita Ramam is set during the 60s and 80s. It has Dulquer playing an army officer named Lieutenant Ram and Mrunal Thakur paired opposite him. The film also stars actors from various industries, including Rashmika Mandanna, Gautham Vasudev Menon, Tharun Bhascker, Sumanth, and Bhumika Chawla, among others.

The technical crew consists of cinematography by PS Vinod, music composer Vishal Chandrashekhar and editor Kotagiri Venkateswara Rao. Sita Ramam was released simultaneously in Telugu, Tamil, and Malayalam.
