JJ Abrams: I am a huge fan of RRR

Ace director JJ Abrams, known for his work in Star Wars and Star Trek, joins the list of celebrities who have been smitten by the RRR bug. 

Previously, filmmakers like James Gunn, Edgar Wright, Joe Russo, and Scott Derickson praised the film, which is making all the right noises in the West. 

In the recently concluded Governors Awards, JJ Abrams met RRR filmmaker SS Rajamouli and shared his love for the film.

This was announced through a tweet by the makers of the global blockbuster fronted by Ram Charan and Jr NTR. 

Also starring Alia Bhatt and Ajay Devgn, RRR is considered in the running for many categories, including Best Song, in the upcoming Academy Awards. 

Although the film missed the cut to be India's official entry to the Oscars (Pan Nalin's Chhello SHow is the entrant), the makers are leaving no stone unturned to push the film at the Academy awards. 

In recent media interactions, SS Rajamouli promised the possibility of a sequel to not just RRR, but his previous mammoth blockbuster, Baahubali, too.
