Telugu industry condole veteran actor Kaikala Satyanarayana's death 

Veteran Telugu actor Kaikala Satyanarayana died during the early hours of Friday at the age of 87. While the senior actor was battling health issues for a while, he is one of the few in Telugu cinema to complete 60 years as an artist. Over the course of his long and vibrant career comprising nearly 800 films, the actor has explored every genre and role there is and best known for playing the villain in numerous films. 

Various film personalities from the Telugu film industry mourned his death and paid their respects on social media.

Actor Ravi Teja wrote, “Grief-stricken by the demise of the legendary actor Kaikala Satyanarayana garu. He is One of the finest actors Indian cinema has ever seen. My sincere condolences to his family & dear ones. Om Shanti.”

Mahesh Babu, who has acted with the late actor in films like Maharishi and Murari, recollected his memories working with the latter and said, “Extremely saddened by the passing away of Kaikala Satyanarayana garu. I have some very fond memories of working with him. He will be missed. My deepest condolences to his family and loved ones. May his soul rest in peace.”

Both Ram Charan and his father-actor Chiranjeevi condoled Satyanarayana’s death. While Ram Charan sais that his contribution to the film industry will be remembered always, Chiranjeevi penned a heartfelt note reminiscing the actor. Actor Nani hailed Satyanarayana as one of his favourites from the “golden era of Telugu cinema” with a legendary body of work.

“Shocked and Saddened on hearing the Passing away of Legendary actor #KaikalaSatyanarayana garu May his soul rest in peace, My deepest condolences to his family members,” wrote director Bobby.

Filmmaker Gopichand Malineni said, “Telugu Cinema has lost another Legend! Extremely saddened to know that Kaikala Satyanarayana garu is no more. May his soul Rest In Peace & Praying about the strength to his dear ones!”

Satyanarayana won three state-presented Nandi Awards. He is survived by his spouse and four children.
