Akhil to play a cameo in Bangarraju?

Actor Akhil Akkineni, who is awaiting the release of Most Eligible Bachelor, might do a cameo in his father and actor Nagarjuna's upcoming film Bangarraju. A sequel to Soggade Chinni Nayana (2016), the socio-fantasy also features Ramya Krishnan, Naga Chaitanya, and Kriti Shetty in lead roles.

Grapevine is that director Kalyan Krishna has sent feelers to Akhil to make a special appearance in the film and the Hello actor's decision is pending. Interestingly, Akhil had also sizzled in a cameo in the Akkineni multi-starrer Manam (2014).

"Kalyan strongly feels that Akhil should be a part of the film since it brings together Nagarjuna and Chaitanya together after Manam. The director believes that Akhil's presence would make things exciting for the Akkineni fans who are waiting to see the trio onscreen for a long time," says a source.

The shooting of Bangarraju has commenced recently in Hyderabad. "The makers have erected heaven, hell and temple sets in a private studio. Major portions of the film would be filmed in these locations. Also, several crucial scenes would be shot in Mysore," the source adds.

Produced by Annapurna Studios in collaboration with Zee Studios, Bangarraju is expected to hit the screens next summer.
