The trailer of Vishwak Sen-starrer Paagal was released yesterday. The two-minute fifteen-second-long trailer promises a breezy romantic comedy that follows a lovelorn protagonist played by Vishwak, who claims to have loved over 1600 girls in a comical dialogue early in the trailer. The trailer goes on to explore the clashes and heartbreak that ensue, and ends on an emotional note. The film stars Nivetha Pethuraj, who has appeared in films like Mental Madhilo and Ala Vaikuntapurramulo as the female lead. Paagal is among the major films to hit screens after the second wave of Covid-19.
Directed by Naressh Kuppili, the film also features Simran Choudhary, Megha Lekha, and Rahul Ramakrishna. Earlier, as a part of promotions when the film was set to release on May 1, it was announced that the trailer of Paagal would be exclusively screened in theatres, but the team had to now let go of the strategy in the wake of the second wave.
The film has music by Radhan of Arjun Reddy and Jathi Ratnalu-fame and the music composer's score makes an impact in the trailer as well. Manikandan has handled the cinematography while Garry Bh edited the film.
Backed by Sri Venkateswara Creations in association with Lucky Media, Paagal is set to release on August 14.
