Actor Sanjjanaa Galrani is currently in Hyderabad for the shooting of the serial, Ye Devi Varamo Neevu, which is streaming on JioHotstar. She is now shuttling between Hyderabad and Bengaluru for the serial while also taking care of her two children. This is the first project Sanjjanaa has accepted after her Bigg Boss stint. “Motherhood is an emotional journey for me. It is very tough to balance motherhood and shooting. I feel very emotional and heavy when I am leaving the house for the shoot,” says Sanjjanaa.
The actor received a few offers after deciding to return to the camera, but she chose to sign this Telugu serial. “Life after Bigg Boss Season 9 has been a beautiful new chapter for me. I’m currently part of Ye Devi Varamo Neevu, streaming on JioHotstar, and being associated with a prestigious show like this is something I truly value. Opportunities like these don’t come every day, and I’m grateful to be part of such a wonderful project,” says the actor.
Delving deeper into the challenges of shuttling between two cities and taking care of her children, Sanjjanaa says, “Balancing work and motherhood has been one of my biggest challenges. I have a four-year-old and a 15-month-old at home, and leaving them behind for shoots is never easy. There is always a part of me that wants to stay back with them, especially when they are so young and growing up so quickly." However, she believes that continuing to work is equally important. "I want my children to grow up seeing their mother pursue her dreams, work hard and create her own identity. Finding that balance is not always easy, but I’m learning every day."
Sanjjanaa credited her husband, Dr Azeez Pasha, her sister-in-law and mother, for helping her manage both her family and career. “They back me up and stay at my home. I feel blessed that my kids get to grow up with them around. Whenever I get an opportunity, I grab my phone and get on a video call with my son to check on him and also speak to my daughter,” says the actor, who is also active on social media and frequently participates in television debates. “The love I have received from my fans, especially on social media, has made this journey even more special. Every message, comment and word of encouragement gives me the strength to keep going. Thank you to everyone who continues to support me, believe in me and stand by me through every new chapter,” says a delighted Sanjjanaa.
For Ye Devi Varamo Neevu, Sanjjanaa also worked on her fitness to look the part. “Losing weight was an important aspect, and I am still working on it every day. It’s very important to look as fit as possible,” says the actor, who believes that life has certainly changed after Bigg Boss. “After Bigg Boss, life has certainly changed, but I feel I’m stepping into this phase with more confidence, gratitude and purpose. I’m excited for what lies ahead, and I hope my audience continues to be part of this journey with me,” says the actor.
Addressing the perception that people struggle to find work after appearing on Bigg Boss, Sanjjanaa believes her conduct on the show helped her. “Some say that people don’t get work after Bigg Boss. The kind of fights that they conduct and come out of ruin their reputation, but all I know is I protected myself, defended myself at every stage, and I did not attack others. I think that really worked in my favour. People liked me, and that is what fetched me the dream role of Geethanjali Devi in Ye Devi Varamo Neevu. The love of the audience has fetched me this new project because God and people are always supportive of honesty,” shares Sanjjanaa.
Talking about film offers, she said she has been receiving opportunities but is not in a hurry to sign anything. “This is my second comeback, so I want to do a good film. I am waiting for an extremely high-quality offer in the cinema industry. I’m completely enjoying my television show Ye Devi Varamo Neevu, and this is where I belong,” signs off Sanjjanaa.
