
Aarti Gupta, who has appeared in a few Hindi movies in the last few years, will make her Telugu debut with Sodara. Ahead of the film’s release, the actor spoke about her role in the Sampoornesh Babu starrer, what she likes about the Telugu film industry, and more. Aarti, who grew up in Chandigarh, stated that her character in Sodara is very similar to her real-life personality. She added, “I will be seen as a simple and educated village girl—innocent and dignified. This role is close to my personality. In real life too, I am a simple girl.” Talking about her co-star Sampoornesh, Aarti said, “I know he is an out-of-the-box actor. I know Sampu's fan base. I have seen his last film, Martin Luther King.”
Talking about her overall working experience for Sodara, Aarti praised the working atmosphere in the industry, adding, “I really like the sense of punctuality in Telugu cinema and the professionalism of the artists here. I also like how every artist is treated equally.” Talking about her further career plans, the Sodara actor noted, “I want to do all kinds of roles and films. However, I wish to do performance-oriented roles. Performance-oriented films are my first priority.”
Starring Sampoornesh Babu and Sanjosh in lead roles, Sodara explores the bond between two brothers. The film, directed by Manmohan Menampally and produced by Chandra Chaganla under the banner of Can Entertainments, is set to hit theatres on April 25.
