The trailer of Sun Pictures-backed Thiruchitrambalam is here, and social media is celebrating the largely feel-good glimpse into the world created by director Mithran Jawahar.

Starring Dhanush, Nithya Menen, Priya Bhavani Shankar and Raashi Khanna in the leads, Thiruchitrambalam also stars Bharathiraja, Prakash Raj, and Munishkanth in pivotal roles.

We first see Dhanush as a food delivery executive, who is leading a rather somber life. With a doting and cool grandfather (Bharathiraja), a lovely childhood best friend (Nithya), a strict father (Prakash Raj), and a couple of possible romances (Priya and Raashi), the trailer weaves a rather upbeat tale about Thiruchitrambalam, his life, and his love for Ilaiyaraaja.

The makers of the film recently launched the soundtrack through a grand launch event. Sun Pictures, known for their relentless marketing drives released songs from the film at regular intervals.

Thiruchitrambalam marks Mithran Jawahar's fourth collaboration with Dhanush after Yaaradi Nee Mohini, Kutty, and Uthamaputhiran. The film also marks the return of the Dhanush-Anirudh combo.

Thiruchitrambalam, produced by Kalanathi Maran under Sun Pictures will be distributed by Red Giant Movies. The Dhanush-starrer is getting a worldwide theatrical release on 18 August.
