Filmmaker Ashwath Marimuthu, who is currently busy with Rajinikanth's Dharman, has wished the team of the recent rom-com Hi.
The director took to his X handle to congratulate the team. He called the film a "fantastic, beautifully written film from Vishnu Edavan". He further wrote, praising Hi, "Rare are films that are so innocent and genuine at heart."
He praised Kavin and Nayanthara for their performances in the film, and composer Jen Martin for his "soulful music".
Hi marked the first collaboration between Nayanthara and Kavin as lead actors. It marked the directorial debut of Vishnu Edavan, who worked as an assistant director to Lokesh Kanagaraj. The film also stars Radikaa Sarathkumar, the late K Bhagyaraj, Kathir, and Prabhu, among others. In our review, Avinash Ramachandran wrote that the film "revels in its cuteness" and that it has "portions that play out like a 90s Hollywood rom-com such as Sleepless in Seattle, You’ve Got Mail, One Fine Day, and Notting Hill."
