Director Ram is gearing up for the release of Yezhu Kadal Yezhu Malai, which is set to be his first release since July 2025's Paranthu Po. Starring Nivin Pauly, Soori, and Anjali in important roles, the film is set for an October 01 release in theatres. The film brings Nivin Pauly back to Tamil cinema for the first time after 2017's Richie, a remake of the 2014 Rakshit Shetty starrer Kannada film Ulidavaru Kandanthe.
Ahead of its release, Nivin Pauly has announced that Dulquer Salmaan's banner Wayfarer Films has come onboard as the distributor for the film in Kerala. Announcing the news, Nivin wrote in the caption, "This is something special to me. My dearest Dulquer Salmaan's Wayfarer Films is bringing Yezhu Kadal Yezhu Malai to Kerala as the theatrical distributor. So happy to have them be a part of this journey."
Nivin Pauly and Dulquer Salmaan starred together in two films: 2014's Vikramadithyan and the same year's Bangalore Days. While Nivin made a cameo appearance in the film from director Lal Jose, filmmaker Anjali Menon's Bangalore Days saw him share a full-length role with Dulquer, in addition to Nazriya Nazim and Fahadh Faasil. Recently, Nivin Pauly expressed his desire to reunite with Dulquer once again for a film.
Meanwhile, Wayfarer Films is also attached to the upcoming Nani starrer The Paradise as its Kerala distributor. While Nani and Dulquer have not shared screen space in a film, they are known to have a close affiliation in the film industry. Recently, Nani told a reporter that he is in talks with Dulquer to produce a film and that he would make a formal announcement about it if it materialises. According to reports, it could be a Malayalam film to be produced under Nani's banner Wall Poster Cinema.
