Tamil cinema is no stranger to telling stories about people of the land. The upcoming thriller Jedusi, is also dubbed to be telling such a tale, albeit with a touch of thriller elements.
Written and directed by Nataraj Ekambaram, the film is described to, "highlight the importance of education, particularly for women, and the need for equal opportunities regardless of caste or religion." Director Natraj has also produced the film alongside Vijayasanthi Srithar. Akshaya Movie Makers and Shree International are the banners behind the film.
The cast of Jedusi includes Sridhar, TV actor Swetha, Aruvi Madhan (known for his roles in projects like Bison Kaalamadan), director A Venkatesh, Pandi, writer Bava Chelladurai, and Ashok Pandian, among others.
Newcomer Vigneshwaran is working on the film's soundtrack, with another newcomer Santhosh K working on the background score. The crew of the film also includes director of photography Naga Arjun VS, editor SP Ahmed, art director Selvaraj, and stunt choreographers Gowtham Hari and Assault Madurai.
The makers have also revealed that a theatrical release has been planned for November.
