Director Ashwath Marimuthu took to social media to pen a few lines praising actor Rishikanth and his work in Modha Rathiri. The comedy drama premiered in Netflix on September 18.
"Rooting for an young actor called Rishikanth! Have seen his work from Temple Monkeys days and he is absolutely good! Loved Modha Rathiri would love to direct you one day," wrote Ashwath on his X account.
Meanwhile Rishikanth replied by writing, "Thank you so much. This really means a lot. Definitely! Hoping for it to happen soon."
Modha Rathiri is Rishikanth's first role as a leading man. It is written and directed by debutant Raja Karuppasamy and follows the woes of a young couple, whose hesitant marriage to each other takes drastic twists and turns on the first night.
The cast of the film includes Anishma Anilkumar, Chetan, A Venkatesh, Bagavathi Perumal, Abdool Lee, Shelly Kishore, Sangeetha Balan, Banupriya, and Varshini Karmegham, among others. Mythri Movie Makers have produced the film.
