Actor Jatin Sarna, who is fresh off the success of Jailer 2, in which he plays Ved Kalpak, has shared a behind-the-scenes video from the sets of the film. The video features celebrations of Vidya Balan's birthday, with the whole cast and crew present on the set.
The video features the actors in costumes they're seen wearing during the 'Bindaas' song and the scenes that follow in Jailer 2. The film's director, Nelson; cinematographer, Vijay Kartik Kannan; and Redin Kingsley are amongst those present apart from Rajinikanth, Vidya herself, SJ Suryah, and Meghana Raj Sarja.
Vidya Balan is seen cutting the cake, as she says, "But we are not a couple..." before Rajinikanth feeds a piece to her, and she feeds him too. Interestingly, netizens were quick to notice Santhanam in the background. While his portions were shot, they've been entirely removed from the film. Fans have now started asking why they were removed and whether they would be released as deleted scenes.
Jailer 2 saw the return of Rajinikanth as 'Tiger' Muthuvel Pandian, the retired jailer, now leading a quiet life running a supermarket near the Kerala-Tamil Nadu border. This existence of his is shattered by the sudden return of an erstwhile adversary, forcing him to go back to his lethal old ways to safeguard his family and defend his hard-earned legacy.
Apart from the abovementioned cast members, the film also saw the return of Ramya Krishnan, Mirnaa, Shivarajkumar, Jackie Shroff, Mohanlal and Yogi Babu, while Namo Narayana, Mithun Chakraborty, Hrithik Roshan, Bjorn Surrao, Hakkim Shah and Suraj Venjaramoodu, among others, were newer additions.
Backed by producer Kalanithi Maran under the Sun Pictures banner, Jailer 2 reunites the core technical team of the original, including music director Anirudh, cinematographer Vijay Kartik Kannan, and editor R Nirmal. The film, which hit theatres on October 15, is continuing to have a successful run at the box office.
