JioHotstar has unveiled the official trailer for Love Always, an upcoming romantic drama miniseries. The streamer earlier announced that Love Always will premiere on the platform on October 30.
Madhumitha, who is known for directing KD (2019), is adapting the Korean webtoon series Here We Go Again in Tamil. The trailer which offers a detailed look at the series, also features the voice of the late writer-actor Crazy Mohan, which has been recreated using artificial intelligence. Dialogues for Madhumita's previous project Kola Kolaya Mundhirika (2010) were written by Crazy Mohan.
"Crazy Mohan sir’s writing has always been special to me. His ability to find humour in the simplest situations—through razor-sharp wordplay and wonderfully unpredictable characters—has been a masterclass in itself. I had the good fortune of working with him on Kola Kolaya Mundhirika, and what a Comedy 101 lesson that was. Every scene felt like a reminder that laughter doesn’t need to be loud to be brilliant; it just needs to be clever, surprising, and completely in love with its characters," said Madhumitha, through a press statement.
She added, "There is still no comedy writer like him—and I suspect there never will be. With Love Always, Sabari (Shamugan) and I wanted to try and bring that flavour of comedy into a contemporary fantasy world, adapting and treating the series with his style of humour in mind. Using an AI recreation of his voice for the magical medallion was our way of paying a heartfelt tribute to a legend whose comedy continues to bring joy to generations—and who, I’m sure, would have found something gloriously funny about a medallion doing all the talking."
Love Always is set to feature the story of an old and young couple, who switch bodies, due to some dark magic, which leads to comedic encounters.
The cast of the series includes Gouri G Kishan, Ramzan Muhammed, Jayaprakash, Jayasudha, Maya Krishnan, Palli Pradeep Kumar Reddy, Mythili Sathyajith, Dimple Kanna K, Aadhvik Ravichandran, Suraj Seetharaman, Smruthi Mohankumar, Sadasivam Suryanarayan and Ramaswamy Murugiah.
Madhumitha has written the series along with Sabarivasan Shamugan and Fazal Nawab. The crew of the series includes music composer Girish Gopalkrishnan, cinematographer Meyyendiran, editor Radha Sridhar, and art director Sekar Balu.
