On Wednesday, the makers of Sathyavan Savithiri dropped the first official teaser for the upcoming film, starring Keerthy Suresh and Mysskin in the lead roles. Written and directed by debutant Praveen S Vijaay, the film stars Keerthy as a lawyer who is new to her job and takes on her first case. The major case takes a toll on the cheerful and energetic young woman, even as she deals with her own mental pain.
Sathyavan Savithiri marks the first collaboration between Keerthy Suresh and Mysskin as actors. The film also stars Charukesh, Bala Saravanan, and Shilpa Manjunath, among others. It is produced by Vedikkaranpatti S Sakthivel under the Drumsticks Productions banner, with S Vaishnavi Vivekchandar of ZEE Studios serving as a co-producer.
While director Praveen S Vijaay has hinted at intense moments in the film, the teaser is packed with fun and entertaining moments.
On the technical front, the film has composer Sam CS, cinematographer Arul Vincent, editor Prasanna GK, and art directors Prem Karunthamalai and AM Anandharaj.
Besides directing the film from his own screenplay, Praveen S Vijaay also doubles up as a lyricist for it. The film also has tracks with lyrics by Mohan Raja and Uma Devi.
In a recent conversation with Cinema Vikatan, director Praveen said that Sathyavan Savithiri has aspects of films in which the main characters fight for justice and legal dramas, such as Vidhi, in which the characters navigate personal problems even as they seek justice. The director also praised Keerthy's performance in the film, saying that the actor has achieved 'the next level' after Mahanati.
Sathyavan Savithiri is set for a November 20 release in theatres worldwide; it is expected to have a Telugu dubbed version as well. Also set to hit theatres on the same date is Om, directed by Rajkumar Periasamy and starring Dhanush and Mammootty, among others. Meanwhile, here is a link to the Sathyavan Savithiri teaser:
