Advance bookings for the Suriya-starrer Scene, directed by Jithu Madhavan, will open at 7:00 PM this Tuesday. The film is set to hit theatres worldwide on November 6 as a Deepavali release. The Suriya starrer is distributed in Kerala by Gokulam Movies, a banner known for its big-budget productions.
Scene is expected to be a comedy-action film. It features Suriya as DSP Inbaraj and Nazriya Nazim as Maya. The film marks the first collaboration between Suriya and Nazriya, who is returning to Tamil cinema after 12 years with the film. At a promotional event, Suriya spoke about Nazriya's comeback, thanking her for accepting the role and being part of the film. He also praised her performance, calling her a "Natural Star". Nazriya, meanwhile, described sharing screen space with Suriya as "a dream come true."
Scene is also generating excitement as the Tamil debut of Malayalam actor Naslen, who gained widespread recognition through Premalu. Nazlen is playing the role of Psycho in the film.
The film's unique presentation, blending action and comedy, is considered one of its major attractions. Suriya's comedy and stylish look in the trailer, as well as the action sequences have further heightened audience expectations.
Following the successes of the Malayalam blockbusters Romancham and Aavesham, Scene marks director Jithu Madhavan's first Tamil film. The film also reunites him with music composer Sushin Shyam after collaborations on Romancham and Aavesham. Interestingly, it is also the first Tamil film for which Sushin Shyam has composed music.
The film also stars Anandraj, Lal, and Raj Priyan. It is produced by Suriya and Jyothika under the banners of Zhagaram Studios and 2D Entertainment, with Jayasree Damodaran serving as co-producer.
