Actor Parthiban is set to reunite with Ajith Kumar on screen after nearly 27 years, and the actor has expressed his excitement about the collaboration. Taking to X on Monday, Parthiban shared a picture of himself heading to the sets of Daredevil, directed by Adhik Ravichandran, as the film began shooting.
“Today is the day of Dare Devil. Amazing Kushi to share the screen with the great AK. And to work with the director Mr Aadik Ravichandran,” he wrote, referring to Ajith by his initials and expressing his enthusiasm about working with the filmmaker.
Interestingly, Parthiban and Ajith had previously shared screen space in the 1999 Tamil film Nee Varuvai Ena, directed by Rajakumaran. The upcoming film marks their reunion after close to three decades.
Adhik Ravichandran had announced the commencement of shooting earlier, calling the project an advance birthday gift from Ajith. The director, who has often expressed his admiration for the actor, shared a new poster confirming that Ajith would be playing the titular Daredevil. The poster featured the actor seated on a chair with dice in his hand.
The film is being produced by Ajith's wife, Shalini Ajith Kumar, under the banner of Brave Hearts Production. Music for the project is composed by Anirudh Ravichander. The technical team includes cinematographer Abhinandhan Ramanujam and editor Vijay Velukutty, both of whom previously collaborated with Adhik on Good Bad Ugly. Supreme Sundar is handling stunt choreography, while Kalyan Master is the dance choreographer. Anu Vardhan is designing the costumes, and Suren is in charge of sound design.
Adhik's previous collaboration with Ajith, Good Bad Ugly, was released in 2025. Daredevil marks their second film together, with the project among the most anticipated upcoming films for Ajith's fans.
