It is well known that actors Vishnuu Vishal and Aishwarya Lekshmi are coming back to reprise their roles in Gatta Kusthi 2, the sequel to the hit 2022 comedy film, directed by Chella Ayyavu. With the film inching closer to the release, the makers have announced the returning cast members of the movie with a quirky new poster that says 'Retained Players'.
Kaali Venkat who plays Sattam, Karunaas who plays Vishnuu Vishal's 'Mama' and Munishkanth who portrays his 'Chitappa' (uncle) are once again playing key roles in the story along with Lizie Antony, Gajaraj and Sreeja Ravi as family members - Athai, Appa and Amma, respectively.
The second installment is expected to pick up from the first part's climax, which has Veera (Vishnuu Vishal) and his wrestler wife Keerthi (Aishwarya Lekshmi) become parents to a daughter after the latter wins a wrestling match. However, plot details have been kept under wraps for now.
Gatta Kusthi 2 comprises a fresh technical team from its predecessor. Music composer Sean Roldan, Cinematographer Bhaskaran KM, editor Barath Vikraman, and art director Jayachandran S are a part of the film.
The upcoming film is produced by Ishari K Ganesh of Vels Film International and Vishnuu Vishal under his Vishnu Vishal Studioz banner. It is co-produced by Shubhra and Aryan Ramesh, and Ishan Saxena.
Gatta Kusthi 2 is slated for its big screen debut on July 3.
