Actor Bhagyashri Borse, who made her Tamil debut with Dulquer Salmaan's Kaantha, has joined Sivakarthikeyan's Seyon for her sophomore film in the language. The film is backed by veteran actor and politician Kamal Haasan under his Raaj Kamal Films International (RKFI) banner.
On Tuesday, Bhagyashri shared a photo of her meeting with Kamal Haasan and penned a small note. "Dearest Kamal Haasan sir, the little girl in me who watched you growing up was jumping with joy the second you placed your hands on my shoulders and wished me luck. Honoured to be associated with RKFI and promise to make you proud," she wrote. (sic)
Seyon is directed by Sivakumar Murugesan, who recently made his directorial debut with Thaai Kizhavi. Kamal Haasan attended a special screening of the film before its release, following which his collaboration with Sivakumar and Sivakarthikeyan was announced.
Seyon marks Sivakarthikeyan's second collaboration with Kamal Haasan after Amaran. Meanwhile, Sivakarthikeyan backed Sivakumar's Thaai Kizhavi alongside Passion Studios, marking this project a second collaboration for the duo as well.
On the technical front, Seyon has composer Santhosh Narayanan, cinematographer Vivek Vijayakumar, editor San Lokesh, art director RK Nagu, and action choreographer Supreme Sundar. The film is slated for an October release in theatres.
Coming back to Bhagyashri Borse, the actor was most recently seen in the Telugu film Andhra King Taluka, directed by Mahesh Babu P and co-starring Ram Pothineni and Upendra. Her upcoming films also include Lenin, co-starring Akhil Akkineni and directed by Murali Kishor Abburu.
On the other hand, Kamal Haasan, last seen in Thug Life, is currently filming for his film with stunt directors Anbariv, tentatively titled KH 237. He is also set to unite with Rajinikanth onscreen for a Nelson directorial, with the working title KHxRK reunion.
