On Monday, actor-music composer GV Prakash Kumar took to social media to announce that his upcoming film, Immortal, has wrapped filming. Directed by Mariyappa Chinna, the maker of Jackpot (2019), the film also features Kayadu Lohar in the lead.
While the details of the plot are kept under wraps, a teaser released earlier showed GV Prakash's character, being haunted by a monster, after imagining himself getting closer to his neighbour, a woman of his dreams.
The cast of Immortal also includes TM Karthik, Kumar Natarajan, Lollu Sabha Maaran, Aaditya Kathir, Arshu Maharjan, Pema Tsamchoe, Sunita Shrestha.
Sam CS has composed music for the film, continuing his collaboration with GV Praksh after Siren (2024) and Blackmail (2025). While GV Prakash did not star in the former, he served as the music composer for the film's soundtrack.
The crew of the film also includes Arun Radhakrishnan as the director of photography, San Lokesh as the editor, Siva Sankar as the art director, and R Sakthi Saravanan as the stunt choreographer.
Arunkumar Dhanasekaran has produced the film under his AK Film Factory banner. A release date for the film is yet to be announced.
GV Prakash was recently seen in Maria Raja Elanchezian's Happy Raj. His first release of 2026 as an actor was the streaming film, Lucky the Superstar.
