Days after announcing the release date, Blast makers dropped the trailer from the Arjun-Abhirami starrer on Sunday.
The trailer glimpse has a family comprising Arjun, Abhirami, and Preity Mukundhan pretending to be just another ordinary family going about its business before a calamity strikes. Unlike the other hero-centric films, where the protagonist feigns weakness and rises to the occasion, here it is done by a family. What is the crisis that makes the family shed its pretense of cowardice and take to violence is to be seen upon the film's release.
Directed by debutant Subash K Raj, the film also stars Vivek Prasanna, John Kokken, Arjun Chidambaram, Pawan, Dileepan, Vinod Sagar, and Bala Hasan R in important roles.
Composer Ravi Basrur, prominently known for his music in the KGF films, is all set to make his Tamil debut with this new project. The rest of the technical team includes cinematography by Arun Radhakrishnan, editing by Pradeep E Ragav, and art direction by Veeramani Ganesan. Archana Kalpathi and Aishwarya Kalpathi serve as creative producer and associate creative producer, respectively. Kalpathi S Aghoram, Kalpathi S. Ganesh, and Kalpathi S Suresh are producing the film for AGS Entertainment.
Blast will get a theatrical release on May 28.
