Actor Trisha Krishnan became one of the most discussed celebrities at Vijay’s swearing-in ceremony on Sunday, with the actor drawing huge attention both inside and outside Chennai’s Jawaharlal Nehru Indoor Stadium.
Trisha, who attended the event along with her mother Uma Krishnan, was seen among the invited guests as Vijay officially took the oath as the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu following Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam’s sweeping electoral win. Her presence at the ceremony sparked buzz online almost immediately, with photos and clips from the venue widely shared by fans.
The actor later found herself struggling to move through a tightly packed crowd while exiting the stadium after the event. Several videos showed fans and members of the media rushing towards her vehicle, attempting to speak to her and capture visuals. Even amid the commotion, Trisha appeared unfazed and acknowledged the crowd with smiles before leaving the premises without making any public comments.
Dressed in a rich blue-green silk saree with gold detailing, Trisha kept her look classic with traditional jewellery, jasmine flowers adorning her hair and understated make-up. Her appearance from the ceremony quickly turned into a social media trend, with many praising her elegant styling.
Trisha and Vijay have been making headlines ever since their public appearance at the wedding reception of Kalpathi Suresh and Meenakshi Suresh's son. The two came together in the same car with colour-matching outfits and with a bouquet in Vijay's hand. Later, they both appeared together on stage to congratulate the bride and groom.
While speculations of their relationship have been making rounds for a long while, it was confirmed after Vijay's wife Sankgeetha filed for a divorce based on irreconcilable differences, allegations of adultery with an unnamed actress in 2021, and mental strain. Their public appearance came after the news of divorce.
Meanwhile, on the cinema front, Trisha is gearing up for the release of Karuppu, directed by RJ Balaji and co-starring Suriya. The film is scheduled to release in theatres on May 14. Vijay’s Jana Nayagan, however, remains on hold due to certification-related issues.
