As Vijay takes the oath as the chief minister of Tamil Nadu, emotional messages from his family begin pouring in, celebrating the actor’s extraordinary political rise. Among the most touching was a heartfelt letter shared by his cousin sisters, Keerthana Sundar and Pallavi Surendar, who reflected on his journey from cinema superstar to political leader.

Posting a series of family photographs and throwback pictures with Vijay on Instagram, the sisters addressed him as “Vijay Anna” and praised the resilience with which he navigated setbacks before reaching this milestone.

“You came back stronger than ever. Sharper in vision. More focused on the people,” they wrote, adding that his journey was never about power or publicity but about serving Tamil Nadu. Calling his rise “emotional for millions", they described Vijay as a voice that connects deeply with people and said his comeback carried meaning far beyond personal success.

The note concluded with an affectionate message: “To the man loved by millions but always our Vijay Anna… with endless love.” The photos shared alongside the letter included moments from different phases of Vijay’s life — from family gatherings to recent celebrations after Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam secured enough support to form the government in Tamil Nadu.

Vijay’s father, veteran filmmaker SA Chandrasekhar, also struggled to contain his emotions after TVK crossed the majority mark. In visuals shared after the announcement, the director became teary-eyed while speaking to the media and repeatedly said he was overwhelmed with happiness.

When asked whether he once had political ambitions of his own, Chandrasekhar dismissed the suggestion and said all his efforts had only been for his son. He also described Vijay’s victory as a moment of triumph for the people of Tamil Nadu and urged the incoming chief minister to work entirely for the welfare of Tamilians.

Vijay’s rise in politics has been unusually swift. After formally launching TVK in 2024, the actor managed to convert his massive fan following into electoral momentum within just two years. His success has already sparked comparisons with legendary actor-politicians such as NT Rama Rao, who famously reshaped Andhra Pradesh politics after entering public life.
