Actor and Member of Parliament Kamal Haasan took to social media to congratulate actor-politician Vijay on his victory in the Tamil Nadu Assembly Election. Vijay who has contested in the Tamil Nadu Assembly Elections from Perambur and Tiruchirapalli East
Taking to his X handle Kamal wrote, "My congratulations to the leader of the victorious Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam, Thiru Vijay, and the members of his party, who have earned the people's trust and achieved a great victory in their very first election. My best wishes for their public service to flourish."
Vijay and his party have contested in the elections without being a part of a coalition. The actor announced his shift to politics in 2023 and announced his party to be, Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam, on the same day.
Kamal Haasan is a member of the Rajya Sabha representing Tamil Nadu in the upper house of the parliament.
