The Tamil Nadu Legislative Assembly Elections are over, and we are only two days away from knowing who will come out victorious in it. One of the main candidates in the election is actor and Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK) chief Vijay. The actor has many supporters as a politician as well, both from the world of cinema and beyond.

The latest to express her support for Vijay is actor Aishwarya Lekshmi, who hails from a place (Kerala) where the superstar has legions of fans. The actor has expressed her admiration for the superstar on multiple occasions. When Leo hit theatres, for instance, she expressed her support for the film, saying that it breaks away from the conventional formula in Tamil cinema and using the phrase 'Badass Thalapathy' to express her admiration for the superstar.

Aishwarya Lekshmi has once again expressed how much she likes Vijay. Speaking to the media during a recent public appearance, Aishwarya said that she likes him quite a lot and that she feels much sadness about not being able to come to Tamil Nadu and vote for him.

"I live in Kerala and do not have a vote here. This is why I found it difficult. Many of my friends are Vijay sir fans. We all had that sadness about not being able to vote for him," the actor said.

Aishwarya also weighed in on Vijay's decision to enter politics, which some have questioned because of his alleged lack of experience in the field. However, Aishwarya differed from this view and said, "Everyone tells actors not to talk about politics. However, when we listen to his words... There was no requirement for him to enter politics. He is quite comfortable in his own space, with plenty of respect and love from the public. However, he came to politics because of his love for people and his strong feeling about giving back to society. So, I want to encourage that. I feel very good seeing that," the actor said.
