Thaai Kizhavi, the comedy drama headlined by Radikaa Sarathkumar, is set to premiere on JioHotstar, on April 10, six weeks after its theatrical release. The film is written and directed by debutant Sivakumar Murugesan, and produced by Sivakarthikeyan under his namesake banner, Sivakarthikeyan Productions. Sudhan Sundaram has also produced the film under his Passion Studios banner.
In the film, Radikaa portrays Pavunuthaayi, a headstrong martriach who is suddenly bedridden, which subsequently reunites her quarreling sons, who plot to pocket her life savings. The cast also features Singam Puli, Arul Doss, Bala Saravanan, Munishkanth, Ilavarasu, George Maryan, Muthukumar, Raichal Rabecca, among others.
Nivas K Prasanna has composed music for the film. The crew also consists of cinematographer Vivek Vijayakumar, editor San Lokesh, and production designer Ramu Thangaraj.
Director Sivakumar is collaborating with Sivakarthikeyan once again for Seyon, which will be produced by Kamal Haasan under his Raaj Kamal Films International banner. Seyon will be the second collaboration between Kamal Haasan and Sivakarthikeyan, after Rajkumar Periasamy's Amaran (2024).
