Actor-producer Legend Saravanan, who is currently awaiting the release of his sophomore film Leader, directed by RS Durai Senthilkumar of Garudan-fame, expressed confidence in the upcoming actioner. He noted that actor Dhanush and director Vetri Maaran recently caught the film and praised it by calling it "grand" and "extraordinary."
During the trailer and audio launch of the film, which was held on Sunday, Legend Saravanan also heaped appreciation on the Ethir Neechal filmmaker, saying, "Our film's cast and crew have immense faith on this movie. I am positive that Leader would be as successful as Vikram, Leo and Jailer. It has all the requirements to become a massive hit."
Speaking about the film's storyline, he said that it revolves around an innocent father and his daughter whose lives are upended after a powerful gangster enters their lives. "Durai Senthilkumar has crafted the film wonderfully for the current generation. It will be fresh and engaging. He had completely dedicated himself for this film. Any person who puts their heart and soul into their work, they will succeed."
He continued, "Music composer Ghibran was the first one who edited and saw the film fully following which he had a call with the director for half an hour, praising his filmmaking. I don't think he has praised any other film in this way. There are no kuthu songs in the film and the music you see won't be unnecessary and will travel along with the storyline."
The cast for the film includes Sham, Andrea, Santhosh Prathap, Payal Rajput, Lal, Prabaharan, Amirtha Aiyer, VTV Ganesh, Iyal, Aishwarya, Mariam George, Nisha, Adithya Kathir.
Ghibran is composing music for the film, with lyrics written by Kabilan, Viveka, Mohan Rajan. The rest of the crew includes Venkatesh S as the director of photography, Pradeep E Ragav as the editor, G Durairaj as the art director, and Mahesh Mathew as the stunt co-ordinator.
Leader hits theatres on April 3.
