The players in the world of the Dhanush headlined Kara continues to be revealed, with the makers announcing that Karunaas will be playing the role of Kasi Maayan in the film. The announcement comes hours after Suraj Venjaramoodu was revealed to be playing, Bharathan, a cop.
Dhanush was announced to be playing the titular role of Kara (a) Karasaami, when the film's title was first revealed. On Tuesday, Mamitha Baiju was announced to be playing Selli, with KS Ravikumar portraying Kandhasaami. The cast of the film also features Jayaram and Prithvi Pandiarajan.
Kara is the sophomore directorial of Vignesh Raja, who made his debut with Por Thozhil (2022). The film is produced by Ishari K Ganesh under his Vels Film International banner, with Kushmitha Ganesh, his daughter, serving as a co-producer.
While the details of Kara's plot haven't been revealed, a video glimpse released earlier, hinted at the story being a drama that follows Kara on a path of revenge. The film is set to release on April 30.
