GV Prakash Kumar has been active in social media, connecting with users regularly. The actor-composer is also known to be philanthropic, by way of sending money to those who request him through social media. But in late 2025, GV Prakash Kumar was the victim of an online fraud, when an unknown social media user approached the actor-composer on X for charity.
In an exclusive conversation with CE, the actor addressed this by saying, "When people do such things, those who need or deserve it, loses an opportunity to reach out. You lose hope. We start doubting the validity of a request being real. So, I think charity should be done only when it is authentic. Else, it is our efforts that goes to waste. Our intentions might be right, but the intentions of the receiver must be right."
GV Prakash is currently in promotions for his film, Happy Raj, which is directed by debutant Maria Raja Elanchezhian. The upcoming film also features actor Abbas in his return to cinema after 12 years, since Ramanujan (2014).
The film also features Sri Gouri Priya, George Maryan, Geetha Kailasam, Adhirchi Arun, Madurai Muthu, and Devi Mahesh, among others, in its cast.
