Actor Swaswika has become familiar to the Tamil audience thanks to roles in films such as Lubber Pandhu, Retro, and Maaman, among others. The actor recently won an award for her performance in Maaman at the Touring Talkies Frame and Fame Awards. After receiving the award, she expressed her gratitude to her Maaman co-stars and crew and its director and producer for the opportunity to act in the film and the audience for their warm reception of the movie.
During her speech, Swaswika was asked which actor she would like to take to Malayalam cinema. Without thinking much, the actor replied, "Vijay sir. Even though he has said that he would not act any longer in cinema, we would like to see him in Malayalam and would celebrate him there."
Swaswika also said that she is a big fan of Vijay. "I do not know whether I can act with him, but when I was asked this question, his face came to my mind first," she added.
Speaking of Vijay, the actor is set to retire from cinema completely for a career in politics. With the state assembly elections imminent, his final film Jana Nayagan is still awaiting censorship clearance. The latest reports say that the Censor Board has asked the Election Commission of India to look at the film due to its political content.
Coming back to Swaswika, the actor was last seen in the Telugu film Shambhala, directed by Ugandhar Muni and co-starring Aadi Saikumar and Archana Iyer. Her upcoming films also include Karuppu, directed by RJ Balaji and co-starring Suriya, Indrans, Natty, Mansoor Ali Khan, Anagha Maya Ravi, Sshivada, and Supreeth Reddy, among others.
