Actor John Kokken is relishing the success of his film Blast, starring Arjun, Preity Mukhundhan, and Abhirami. In an exclusive conversation with CE, John looked back at his journey in cinema and shared his thoughts about tasting success at this stage of his career.
Referring to Blast, the actor said that he is celebrating the success of a film with a 'success tour' for the first time twenty years after his debut. It is worth noting that John made his acting debut with 2006's Kalabham. He also said that following the success of Blast, he is now part of a big film, titled Nagabandham, and is going on a promotional tour for a film for the first time with the mythological adventure.
"I have seen many things in my journey. The things that Ajith sir told me will always run through in my mind. 'There is a time for everything in cinema, John.' No matter how many films I do and how many characters I play, that (Ajith's wisdom) keeps me grounded," John Kokken said.
It is worth noting that John starred with Ajith in Veeram (2014) and Thunivu (2023). This is not the first time John spoke about Ajith publicly. In 2023, the actor wished Ajith on teacher's day through social media. In the post, he mentioned the superstar as his guiding light and wrote, "God couldn’t be everywhere so he gave us teachers, someone to guide us in the right direction so that we may grow in life. Thank you Ajith Kumar Sir for being that guiding light not just for me but for millions. Thank you for coming into my life and making my life better."
Coming back to Nagabandham, director Abhishek Nama's film also stars lead actor Virat Karrna, Nabha Natesh, Ishwarya Menon, Jagapathi Babu, Mahesh Manjrekar, and John Vijay, among others.
