With about 45 days left for the release of Suriya's next, Vishwanath & Sons, the film's composer GV Prakash has begun making the actor's fans excited with back-to-back announcements. Just 10 days ago, the film's first single, titled 'Pattampoochi', was unveiled, and now GV Prakash is back with another update about the second single.
'Pattampoochi', featuring a dance performance by Mamitha Baiju, was voiced by Sublahshini. Penned by Arunraja Kamaraj, the chorus singers comprise Aavani Malhar, Jerina Anna, Kaanjana Sreeram, and Aruna Mary George. The song is now going viral on social media for its hook step.
On Monday, GV Prakash announced that the next single, a dance number, is sung by none other than the film's hero, Suriya. Youth director Ken Karunaas has penned the verses for the song. Details about the song's title and when it will be unveiled are yet to be announced by the makers.
Suriya recently sang the 'Love Detox' number from Retro. Some of his previous tracks as a singer include 'Ek Do Teen' from Anjaan, 'Cha Cha Charey' from Party, and 'Maara Theme' from Soorarai Pottru, among others.
As reported earlier, Vishwanath & Sons, helmed by Venky Atluri tells a story of romance between a middle-aged man and a woman who is half as old as he is. The makers describe it as "a heartfelt journey of dreams, emotions, and unexpected love". Suriya's character in the film, namely Sanjay Vishwanath, is inspired by the actor's own businessperson from Ghajini.
Besides Suriya and Mamitha Biju, the film also stars Radikaa Sarathkumar, Raveena Tandon, Nasser, Sudha, Raghu Babu, Sunil Reddy, Bhavani Sri, Viva Harsha, Kaali Venkat, George Maryan, Hyper Aadhi, Srija Ravi, Sarvadaman Banerjee, Mathew Varghese, Kalyani Natarajan, Karate Karthik, and Master Charvik.
The film is produced by Naga Vamsi and Sai Soujanya under the banners of Sithara Entertainments and Fortune Four Cinemas, respectively. It is presented by Srikara Studios. Apart from GV Prakash, its technical team includes cinematographer Nimish Ravi, editor Navin Nooli, and production designer Banglan. Vishwanath and Sons is slated for an August 14 release in theatres worldwide.
