The makers of Om, have honoured Mammootty after the actor received his Padma Bhushan from President Draupadi Murmu at an investiture ceremony held on June 23. The makers also released a special poster, teasing the actor's look from Om.
Director Rajkumar Periyasamy took to his X handle and wrote, "Hearty Congratulations to our very own Mammukka on being conferred upon with The Prestigious Padma Bhushan award for his exceptional contribution to the Indian Cinema for more than 5 decades."
He added, "Now wait for Ikka’s entry from Om. It will be worth all your wait!"
Om will be headlined by Dhanush, and will feature Sai Pallavi and Sreeleela in its cast. Sai Abhyankkar is composing music for the upcoming film.
Beyond Om, Mammootty will also star in Mattanchery Mafia. Khalid Rahman, who has directed Alappuzha Gymkhana, will direct the upcoming film, which will also star Asif Ali and Naslen.
