The trailer for Con City was launched through an event earlier this Saturday. At the function, composer Sean Roldan talked about the positive attributes of the film, starring Arjun Das and Anna Ben, among others. Sean said that the film's director Harish Durairaj is among the most confident filmmakers that he has collaborated with. "What I heard in the narration is precisely what I watched onscreen," the music director said about the debutant and his film.
Describing Con City as "a smartly made commercial entertainer," Sean praised Harish for his decision to produce the film on his own. "I am proud of him," the composer said about the director before adding that he felt emotional when he watching the trailer since he knows the struggles that the filmmaker has endured in his journey.
Sean Rolden also talked about the cast and their performances in the film. He said, "Arjun Das has carried it brilliantly, whereas Anna Ben has put in a strong performance."
He said that one of the main highlights of the film will be Yogi Babu's comedy. "Vadivukkarasi amma is a legend," the music director stated about another key cast member of Con City.
The composer ended his speech, saying, "People ask me when I will do a big commercial film, and my answer is Con City—it has all the qualities of a grand entertainer."
Also part of the cast are Akhilan, Nanda Gopal, Sakshi Vaidya, Dheepa Ramanujam, Arul Doss, Radha Ravi, Shaji Chen, Ramesh Thilak, Thambi Ramaiah, Imman Annachi, Baradwaj Rangan, Madan Dakshinamoorthy, Ragu Esaki, Ponvannan, and Sathanand, among others. Harihara Tamilselvan, Ubasakan, Sudhir Muthu, and Gokul Sugumaran are credited as its additional screenwriters.
The film's technical team includes cinematographer Aravind Viswanathan, production designer Raj, and editor Arul Moses A. It is backed by Power House Pictures in association with Maali and Manvi Movie Makers, Klout Studios and Silver Tree Studios. With production on it already wrapped, the film is slated for a June 26 release in theatres.
