Actor-filmmaker Karu Palaniappan is back in the director’s chair after a decade. The Parthiban Kanavu director is all set to helm a film titled Cooker, with Kaali Venkat in the lead. The title was unveiled by former Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin.
While details regarding the rest of the cast and crew are yet to be revealed, reports state that the first schedule of the film is currently underway in Theni. Cooker has cinematography by Rajasekaran. Meanwhile, Karu Palaniappan last directed Jannal Oram in 2013, starring Parthiban, Vemal, and Vidaarth. On the acting front, he was last seen in the Vijay Sethupathi-starrer, Yaadhum Oore Yaavarum Kelir (2023). Kaali Venkat, on the other hand, Kaali Venkat was last seen in the ZEE5 web series Warrant.
